The company, a scale-up inPropTech headquartered in Spain, needed to solve this challenge: “colivingmarketplace for remote professionals”. Internal interview processes couldn'tvalidate whether a candidate truly understood the business domain, beyond purelytechnical command of the stack, which had led to hires that didn't work out. Ontop of this, there were methodological problems in team and project management:inconsistent agile ceremonies, poor visibility into dependencies, and adelivery cadence that was hard to predict. All of this was happening under timepressure, with a market deadline that left no room for error.

Squad Challenge designed 2 challenges, one per position, to evaluate professionals already linked to the client, drawnfrom its own internal team and outsourcing firms it already worked with, analyzing an average of 5 candidates per position (10 evaluated in total) in 10days.
In total, the squad brought together 2 profiles (dataengineer, ML engineer), sourced from the client and its outsourcing firms, working on a stack of Node.js (Express.js), React + Next.js, MongoDB,PostgreSQL, GitLab, AWS. This squad integrated with the company's existingin-house technical team, respecting established processes and priorities. Sincesome of these profiles came from outsourcing firms, their turnover was high(around 50%), which led to evaluating 1 additional replacement over the courseof the project, reaching a total commitment of 15 months.
