The company, a growth-stage startup in Cybersecurity headquartered in United States, needed to solve this challenge: “threat monitoring platform for SMEs”. Internal interview processes couldn't validate whether a candidate truly understood the business domain, beyond purely technical command of the stack, which had led to hires that didn't work out. The context was one of accelerated growth, with investment already committed and high expectations from leadership and, where applicable, investors.

Squad Challenge designed 4 challenges, one per position, based on the business case itself, with an average of 5 candidates analyzed per position (20 evaluated in total), delivering the final shortlist in 14 days.
Building on that foundation already validated by Squad Challenge, Squad Hiring formalized the AOR-based hiring within 24h: contracts adapted to each developer's country of origin, data validation, and onboarding.
In total, the squad was made up of 4 profiles (data engineer, frontend developer, ML engineer, Tech Lead), working on a stack of Go, Vue.js, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Bitbucket, OVH. The company had no consolidated in-house technical team, so the professionals proposed by Squadmakers, brought on under the AOR model, operated as the product's engineering core from day one. The engagement ran for 15 months in total.
