Problem Statement

The company, an established company in HealthTech headquartered in Spain, needed to solve this challenge: “telemedicine platform for chronic patient management”. The market for senior talent with demonstrable experience in that technology stack is scarce, and they had already tried to fill the position without success, with the resulting added expense and lost opportunity. The competitive window was short: a competitor with a similar product was already gaining market share.

Our Solution

Squad Challenge designed 6 challenges, one per position, based on the business case itself, with an average of 5 candidates analyzed per position (30 evaluated in total), and delivered the final shortlist in 14 days.

Squad Hiring managed, within 24h, the AOR-based hiring of the candidates validated through Squad Challenge, handling contract generation adapted to each developer's country of origin, data validation, and the onboarding process.

The squad brought on 6 profiles (QA engineer, ML engineer, mobile developer, data engineer, DevOps/SRE, Tech Lead) working on a stack of AWS, PostgreSQL (HL7/FHIR), MongoDB, React Native, Python, and FastAPI. The company already had its own technical team, into which the professionals proposed by Squadmakers integrated directly —they become part of the client's team, not Squadmakers'—, respecting existing processes and priorities. The engagement ran for 26 months in total, with 15% turnover over that period, re-running the evaluation through Squad Challenge using the same challenges created at the outset with the new candidates.
